Get You In Shape wanted to start off the year right with a proven way to get RESULTS from the start. A Team Biggest Winner Challenge the for 6 weeks in the beginning of 2020. We had 17 clients who participated and four teams who all came together to help keep each other motivated and ACCOUNTABLE.

The results were AWESOME. Over 63 Pounds lost and 77 Inches from the group! The average weight loss was 3.7 pounds and 4.5 inches in just 6 weeks.

WE ALSO HAD A LOT OF FUN!

It was very hard to pick both a winning team and two individual winners.

Describe how the Get You In Shape Biggest Winner Contest has helped you these past 6 weeks?  I had worked up great momentum over my first 8 months and wanted to keep it going with extra everything, especially accountability.  Success can sometimes lead to complacency, but I wanted mine to spur me on to greater accomplishments.  As Brad says, it’s on-going consistency that makes the difference, and this 6 week push has nudged me closer to the permanent life changes I have been developing since day 1 and has taught me to continue setting fitness goals for myself to reach.

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Contest over the last 6 weeks?

  • I got to know 5 people that I did not know which has made the exercise sessions more fun. I love the social aspect of GYIS!
  • Posting off day cardio to FB pushed me to climb more stairs in my 40 minute cardio workout. I was able to increase from 140 floors to 156 floors.
  • From Jan 10-Feb 7, I lost 8.6 lbs and 4.25 inches.
  • My goal when I weigh in on Friday, 2/21: total loss for the six week challenge = 10 lbs.
  • We have yet to run our timed mile for February (weather issues), but my goal is to go sub 10 minutes. Hopefully, we will run it Wed, 2/19 or Fri, 2/21.  I need the “Sub 10” band!  I decreased my time in January and I now my off day cardio regime will not let me down.  It is the reason my times for the mile improve.

Describe how the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge has helped you these past 6 weeks?  It has helped me be consistent in my workouts and cardio. Whenever I didn’t want to work out or wanted to quit doing the contest I kept on because I didn’t want to let my teammates down.

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks? I can tell that I am getting stronger and doing better in my cardio. And I have lost weight.

Describe how the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge has helped you these past 6 weeks? This program has made me get up and show up, even when I didn’t want to.  Being a part of team brings a lot of accountability.

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks? I gained the habit of getting a minimum of 4 workouts in per week (2 resistance and 2 ODC).  It feels good to be consistent.  I’m standing a little taller, stretching a little further, clothes fitting a little better and have a lot more energy every day.  I miss that feeling on the days I’m not getting exercise in.

Describe how the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge has helped you these past 6 weeks? One of my biggest challenges is mentally putting myself first or prioritizing my health needs over my other commitments. This has forced me to deliver on that commitment because as part of a team don’t want to disappoint.  I just have to value that same commitment to myself in the future.
What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks?  The community and relationships are important.  The people are fun.  The exercise is a huge stress reducer.  I feel so much lighter mentally after my workouts.  I wish there was more weight loss but my travel has been at an all time high.  That means too much eating out.  But, I know the weight loss will come.

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks? Consistently using MyFitnessPal helped me to stay on track. A visual of what I was doing in regards to nutrition and helped me to see where changes are needed.

Describe how the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge has helped you these past 6 weeks?  This challenge made me more accountable, and think about all that I was eating, and the fact that I really needed to move with purpose every day. Although I may not have eaten everything according to the “letter of the law”, I certainly gave it a good effort, and was much more aware of everything I ate.

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks?  Benefits and results: I was certainly more aware of my food intake than I have been lately. I have lost the biggest part of the weight I wanted to lose, so it gets harder on the other side of that marker. I am certainly moving more on my off days. Making a point of walking our track at work, when I am there (and the weather isn’t terrible).

In telling my family about this challenge, I am getting the rest of them to move more, with my granddaughter wanting to do exercises with me nightly. This is encouraging all of us to move more.

Thanks very much for this challenge, Even if I have not lost much weight, I am paying more attention daily to everything I consume, and I am moving more intentionally, even on the off days, which previously was not happening much. 🙂

Describe how the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge has helped you these past 6 weeks?  It has helped me get my workouts back in sync. It has also has made me more aware of what I am eating.

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks?  I lost 5 pounds which is good; what is better is they my workouts my mobility and flexibility have improved.

Describe how the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge has helped you these past 6 weeks?  Knowing that I was accountable to my team, and not just myself, really made me put in the full effort. Consistently attending book camp,  missing only when out of town,  and adding in the ODC has been a great reminder of how much better I feel, and look,  when I take better care of myself. It’s been the little voice in my head reminding me to make better choices and to get in that extra cardio even on the days when I’m tired! The results I have seen from adding back in the cardio are enough to keep me going. I still have a ways to go but I definitely feel like I’m on the right track!

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks?  I have lots both pounds and inches,  which is always a good thing. It’s given me additional opportunities to have fun with my kids,  as I have been incorporating them into my ODC whether its with intervals or dance battles with them. It all counts! My skin is definitely looking better and I attribute that to the consistent use of Trim. The biggest benefit I have seen is with seeing results on both the scale and in how my clothing fits, I’m feeling better about myself and the image I put out – am I giving the best I can and representing my personal brand to the best of my abilities? I am definitely getting there!

Describe how the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge has helped you these past 6 weeks? RE-FOCUS!  Needed to adjust my mind back to following the darn instructions and making good choices.  There were two tough weeks one were I had the flu and the second when I was traveling. Normally I would have eaten all the “bad” foods with lots of cheese, carbs, etc… although I didn’t get to workout fully during these weeks I did make much better eating choices.

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks?  I have struggled to schedule and stick to the two off-day cardio workouts. This made me stick to the schedule. So, eating better + workouts+ cardio = benefit of feeling more energized, no digestive issues, and ability to have more focus.

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Team Challenge over the last 6 weeks?  I think for tangible results, the continued weight loss and being able to fit into clothes that way were too small six months ago…  also, the reduction in stress level and improved sleep are much welcomed benefits.

Describe how the Get You In Shape Biggest Winner Contest has helped you these past 6 weeks?  During these 6 weeks I have become a better planner for my health. I have. built really good habits and have been able to stick to them. I meal prep every Sunday and make sure that the meals that I prep are healthy. Another habit that I have been able to stick to is being active 3-5 days a week. This is the first time that I have been 100% committed to a challenge and it feels AMAZING!

What have been some of the benefits and results from the GYIS Biggest Winner Contest over the last 6 weeks?  Over the last 6 weeks, I have been very aware of what I am putting into my body. I struggled with stomach issues but during these 6 weeks I have felt great! The best part of this challenge has been being on a team. I never wanted to let my team down, and that helped me build my healthy habits and stick to them! I am very excited to see how my measurements changed from week 1 to week 6!
