Coppell Trainer Spotlight of the Month: Lauren Keeler

The Get You In Shape team hand selects clients each month that we feel have Transformed their health and fitness. This Get You In Shape Spotlight client for September is Lauren Keeler,  a Consultant in Coppell.  She joined Get You In Shape in 2013.

Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program?  I moved from Atlanta about 3 years ago. I had been part of a Boot Camp program in Atlanta and had good success so I thought it was important to be involved in one after I moved as well.

Lauren Keeler PictureWhat was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?  I would exercise, but not regularly.

What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape program?  I had tried out Get You In Shape a few times with my brother-in-law (Brandon Cox) before actually signing up. It was always fun and the workouts were always different, which was nice. The group of people that go every day really becomes like a family.

What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you? My favorite tool is the ABCs of boot camp. I bring those with me when I travel to make sure I still workout while I am away.I also like the organized training that Get You In Shape has been doing for triathlons.

How is the Get You In Shape program different from other programs you have tried before? I think the biggest difference between Get You In Shape and other programs is the people. They are always supportive and energetic…even at 5:30am! A lot of mornings I get to boot camp grumpy, but I’m always smiling once it’s over.  I also really like the option of the Get You In Shape cardio club. It’s nice to get the extra cardio in…it can really make a difference!

What results and benefits have you experienced in the Get You In Shape Program? Get You In Shape has made me a healthier person. I am much more conscious of my exercise routine as well as the things that I eat. I have lost a few pounds and inches along the way, but my goal is to remain healthy and fit.
