Coppell Fitness Trainer Tip of the week – Preparing your meals and snacks for the week.
Please take a few minutes to watch this great Coppell Personal trainer tip of the week. It will help you eat healthier because you know exactly how many calories are in what. It will also help you SAVE money because you are not stopping at convenience stores and eating out all the time.
If you are one that is out and about most days (which is most of us) either for work or running around with your kids, this tip will be very helpful.
One tip I would give you is to change it up from week to week or from day to day so you make sure you are getting well-balanced nutrients and also so it does not get boring. You want to find healthy meals that you enjoy both making and eating.
A few tips from the video
1. Go to the healthy food store and get what you would like for the week
2. Make sure you have plenty of plastic bins or bags to store your proteins, veggies, fruits, and nuts in.
3. Marinate your chicken (preferred protein for pre-cooking) for a few hours then plan on an hour to get everything prepared for the week.
4. As you are baking your chicken (roughly 20-30 minutes), start cutting all the veggies/fruit and putting in plastic bins or plastic bags. If you are eating it raw, you can just portion them out in baggies. If you are planning on cooking them, just keep all of it in a plastic bin.
5. Make sure you think about each breakfast, mid-morning snack, healthy lunch, mid-afternoon snack, dinner and optional evening snack every day.
