Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?
Before GYIS I was just a runner/jogger. That was about 14 years ago.

Q: What was your reason(s) or “So That” for joining the Get You In Shape Program?
I have been working out with GYIS for the past 11 years “So That” I could have the community and positive atmosphere I so very much need in order to exercise consistently. So That’s change as we change. I still love the community. My most recent “so that” was to lose 40 pounds that I had gained during my 5th pregnancy in 6 years.

Q: What results and benefits did you initially experience with the Get You In Shape Program?
After 10 months of consistently showing up to the workouts, eating in correct portions and being 100% committed to my Advocare product routine, I have been able to get rid of those 40 pounds. It sounds like such a simple statement but 10 months is 40 weeks. It’s 280 days. It’s 1400 meal and snack choices! It’s many, many, many, many decisions that need to be made over and over again.

Q: What results and benefits you accomplished beyond your initial results?
I have had to lose baby weight more than once. So I knew that if I did it once, I could do it again. With each time I had to do it, I got better and more efficient and smarter about how I went about it. I know there will never be a time where I just gain it all back for no reason. Being committed to my health and fitness is not just about fitting back into jeans I wore before I had any kids. It is about the long-term fitness level required in order to take care of these five kids. To be able to walk with them to the park, wrestle with them on the floor, be able to jump up quickly off the ground when I hear an “I just got hurt” cry from another room. It’s the energy to be able to make a healthy dinner for them at the end of a long day, to put together healthy lunches for them each night for their day at school and to keep the house from always looking like 5 kids live there.

Q: Why do you choose to continue to be a part of Get You In Shape after all this time?
I know it sounds cliché but there is nothing else like it. I have a lot of friends who participate in other programs and I know it is just not the same thing that we have to offer. Anyone can show up, workout and go home. GYIS is SO MUCH MORE! Like the shirts say…more than just fitness! It’s personal, it’s encouraging, it’s a positive environment. That is just in the workouts…what about the lifestyle coaching, the nutrition programs! The list just goes on and on.

Q: What do you feel have been some of the keys that have helped you throughout the journey?
Without a doubt, the Advocare products have been my #1 lifestyle buddy. When kids are waking you up all hours of the night, yet you still get up at go workout at 5:30am, thanks to a Spark, that is the power of the products. When you can’t always eat vegetables and a chicken breast for dinner and end up just eating the combination of 5 leftover plates for dinner…that is the power of the Metabolic Nutrition System. The family of Advocare products has absolutely been my secret weapon in this journey!

Q: What new goals or “So Thats” have you set?
So new goals would be to tone up but I know that will just come as long as I stay consistent in doing the things I have been doing. Ultimately it is to help other people achieve their “so that’s”. Seeing someone be able to lose weight that has been haunting them for years is so satisfying! If I can do it, anyone can do.
