Dear Prospective Fitness Trainer,

First of all, thanks for taking the time to visit this site. It’s my hope that you have precisely what I need in a group personal trainer so I can take this page down immediately. 

So let me tell you about me, my company and the coaching position.

My name is Brad Linder and I run a fitness and nutrition coaching company called Get You In Shape in the Coppell, TX.

Since 2006, our business has been educating, motivation and inspiring our Members to become the BEST versions of themselves. 

We have developed a track record for being one the of the best fitness companies in Texas (see our plug on the Doctors TV show here). We developed this through our personal training in a group environment, nutrition and lifestyle programs. We are the #1 Transformation program in our area since we started our group personal training ​program in Coppell. We were able to help our clients through COVID with giving them a plan to follow and helping to hold them accountable each and every day. We started back safely at our same location we have had since we started in 2007, which is outside, so it’s actually HELPED us attract our ideal clients. 

Beyond our Coppell Fitness program, we offer an onsite Corporate Fitness Program to companies close to Coppell and we also just started online personal training. 

We have had an amazing close-knit team to help motivate, encourage and inspire our clients.  Unfortunately, we are losing our 5:30pm trainer so we need to help bring on another amazing person to fill her place. 

Since 2007, Get You In Shape has been blessed to help thousands of Coppell area residents look, feel and perform their best.

To do this, we need a strong supporting cast, which includes more SOLID Personal Trainers who are committed to helping our Clients be successful.

Quite frankly, we need “rock star” coaches (you need to bring the best out of people) who love working with people as well as can lead and coach GROUPS.

As for certifications and previous experience…

You don’t need to be a 23-year veteran trainer like me or have an alphabet soup of letters after your name if you’re a self-motivated person who loves to learn about fitness and all things training.

We can help develop your training skills to become an effective coach. We do have a system and a plan that has been proven so we you will be asked to follow our system and do things the way we do things.

Do you have to be certified? You SO NOT need to be certified to start the process. In order to complete the training and actually be a part of our personal training team, though, a nationally recognized certification IS needed and required.

We have brought people who we feel would be the best fit for what we do and who we help. 

It helps if you are already a certified personal trainer but we’ve helped the right individuals with the tools, training and systems to be great trainers.  You don’t have to be certified to go through the training process if we feel you have all the tangibles needed to go through the training process.

We can’t fix a lousy personality – you need to be great with people, especially with groups since everything we do is in group settings.  

If you are not confident leading and coaching a group of people through a workout then this position may not be right for you. There are a lot of great one-on-one trainers out there that do not have what it takes to be great at personal training in a Group environment.  

We are also in the service industry so you must be humble and enjoy serving/helping others.

What Specific Session Times are you looking to fill?
Our group personal training sessions run Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s along with 2 Saturday’s a month.  We offer 5 different session times that we need to fill with coaches.

Our main need right now is our 5:30pm session M-W-F

We also need subs every now and then at 5;30am, 6:30am, 8am and 12pm.

Who I am looking for?

I am looking for a hard working, enthusiastic, motivated and energetic personal who does well leading in group environments to join the Get You In Shape Team.

If you are selected after an interview process, you will go through our 45-90 day internship. Our clients come first so we have a process of brining in potential team members.  Based on how quickly you learn the program and how you progress, we will then transition to you leading your own fitness sessions and joining the Get You In Shape team. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN SOMEONE WHO IS JUST LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SHORT-TERM! WE’RE LOOKING FOR DEDICATED TEAM MEMBERS WITH LONG-TERM VISION WHO WILL STRIVE FOR GROWTH/LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.  

Oh yeah, I am also very fair, respectful and appreciative. I like having fun and making money providing highly valuable fitness services. You will be compensated fairly for each session you train, treated fairly and I will certainly look for ways to add value in your life.

I want someone who enjoys working with people and making a difference in the lives of others because that is what Get You In Shape is all about. If you do not have a passion for fitness and do not liking helping people, this is NOT the job for you.

Tasks You Will Be Expected To Perform

*Have PASSION, ENTHUSIASM, great spirit, passion, zeal, and a commitment to help others reach their health and weight loss goals. People KNOW when you are passionate about something. We are looking for people that WANT to be a Group Personal Trainer because they ENJOY it not because of the money. If you are not passionate about helping others achieve their health and fitness goals, this will NOT be the job for you.

* Be a natural leader and confident leading a group of people through an exercises program. This is a Group Personal Training fitness program which means that you are leading individuals of various fitness levels and various personalities. We are looking for people that have certain skill sets to be able to lead a group fitness session. If you are not sure you can do this, it may not be the position you would want.NOTE: As mentioned in earlier, if you are selected there is a 45-90 day training process so you will not be expected to jump right in and lead one of our group personal training sessions. Our clients come FIRST so we have a process in place for brining on potential team members to our staff. We just want to make sure you know what is expected if/when we both feel you are ready. Ideally, you should know if you fit the qualities above or not.
