I started coaching in 1998 when I was getting my Master’s Degree so I have heard all the questions come my way.

As we welcome 2025, it’s the perfect time to reflect on where you’ve been and where you’re headed. Many start the year with resolutions, but let me challenge you to think beyond resolutions and focus instead on changing your choices.
Your daily choices determine your habits, and your habits shape your life.
Instead of setting resolutions, focus on changing your choices.
Resolutions don’t last, but when you know your “WHY”—your purpose behind the changes—you gain the clarity and motivation to stick with them.
Here’s the key: Focus on the “So Thats.” Here are mine so that you can see what I mean.
So That I have the energy and FEEL like playing with my kids when I get done with my work.
So That I can be God’s light to others.
So That I can lead, motivate, and inspire others to live a healthy lifestyle.
So That I’m the best version of myself.
So That I can be fit and healthy as my kids grow older and for my future grandkids.
When you keep these “So Thats” at the forefront of your mind, every small choice takes on new meaning. It’s no longer about just working out, eating better, or sleeping more—it’s about living out your purpose and being the person God created you to be.
This year, ask yourself:
What choices will help me align with my “So Thats”?
How can I honor God with my body, mind, and spirit every day?
Remember, it’s not about being perfect. Real transformation comes from consistent, intentional choices.
Let’s make 2025 a year of purposeful living and lasting change. Together, we can move closer to becoming the best version of ourselves, for His glory and the good of those around us.
