Let’s celebrate 2024 and look ahead to next year with two dozen interesting tidbits about taking care of yourself, plus one to grow on in 2025.

And remember, you don’t have to wait for the new year to come in and get moving with us! The sooner the better.

  1. Regular exercise extends life expectancy, quality of life, and independence.
  2. Eating fiber-rich foods helps keep you at a healthy weight and lowers the risk of heart disease and diabetes.
  3. Regular exercise reduces the chances of developing type 2 diabetes, along with a range of other chronic illnesses often associated with aging.
  4. Spinach is high in iron, which helps maintain energy levels and healthy blood cells.
  5. Two superfoods are almonds (high in protein and healthy fats) and blueberries (lots of antioxidants and linked to memory).
  6. Talk to us about High-Intensity Interval Training. It burns calories even after the workout is over and is safe for people over 50.
