Fitness Company Charity Workout to raise money for the Taylor Storch Memorial Scholarship

CHARITY WORKOUT TO BENEFIT THE TAYLOR STORCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Coppell, Texas — [March 29, 2021] — Get You In Shape Fitness, a local Coppell fitness company, is hosting a charity workout on April 17, 2021 at Andrew Brown East Park, to benefit The Taylor Storch Memorial Scholarship.

The Taylor Storch Memorial Scholarship was established in the honor and memory of Taylor Storch, a vibrant and loved 13 year-old Coppell girl who lost her life in a tragic ski accident in 2010. Giving the gift of life through organ donation, Taylor impacted the lives of five people – a selfless act that continues to make an immeasurable impact still today. In an effort to honor their daughter’s giving spirit and legacy, Taylor’s parents, Todd and Tara Storch, established this scholarship to honor students who give back selflessly to others. 

“It means so much to us that GYIS has chosen to support this special scholarship. We are so grateful to our Coppell community and to everyone who workouts with GYIS for always being so encouraging of all the work we do in Taylor’s name”, said Tara and Todd Storch, Taylor’s parents.

 Coppell business owner, Brad Linder, founder and CEO of Get You In Shape Fitness says, “We are hosting a community charity workout to honor Taylor’s Outlive Yourself spirit, as well as raise funds for The Taylor Storch Memorial Scholarship.”

In the thirteen plus years that Get You In Shape has been in business, they have raised over $228,000 for various charities hosting free workout and events. “It’s just the beginning,” says Linder. “It’s our mission to give back to the community and support our local charities. In addition to charitable events, we also make donations to The Taylor Storch Memorial Scholarship every time one of our clients checks in on Facebook when arriving for their workout.”

  • Get Fit: Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 8:00-9:00 AM free charity workout at Andy Brown Park East is open to Coppell area residents of all ages and fitness levels. The event will be outside with physical distancing to help everyone feel safe. Linder and his team know how to make everyone feel welcome and customize workouts based on ability.
  • Have Fun: Those interested are encouraged to bring friends and family to add to the fun and the fund raising.
  • Make a Difference: Get You In Shape encourages everyone to make a donation of any amount they wish to The Taylor Storch Memorial Scholarship. There will be a table set up for donations.
