Starting Next Monday,

Coronavirus Update

Because we are an organization committed to our community's health and fitness, we wanted to update you on the Coronavirus and how we can all stay safe during this time.

As I’m sure you are aware, there is a lot to consider when looking at how to respond to COVID-19 and what we can all do to help mitigate the transmission.

As of today, Get You In Shape does not have plans to close unless we are directed to do so by the health department or city, state, or federal mandate. That said, we recognize closure is a possibility, and we take that very seriously. We will do everything in our power to make sure you have as much advance notice as possible if that occurs, and we will only close as long as it is absolutely necessary.

In the event that we do have to suspend our sessions, the Get You In Shape Team has a plan in place to allow you to continue your workouts and healthy habits from home.

Please protect yourself and others by following proper hand washing technique before and after sessions. Make use of the facilities at the park.As always, if you are sick or have flu-like symptoms please stay home and limit contact with others.

Your health is very important at this time. Keep getting enough sleep, quality food and daily movement as much as you can. I know in times like this it can be easy to get caught up in other thoughts and let yourself slide. If you do fall ill, being as healthy as you can beforehand is very important.

Our commitment is to continue to live out our core value number one which is to put you in a positive and healthy environment that will help with motivation, inspiration, encouragement and ACCOUNTABILITY.

Below is the basics of what we are doing and what You can do.

Remember, we all have a REASON WHY we need to exercise. It's important to remember your SO THAT's which will motivate you to continue to move during this time of uncertainty. The main benefits for most of us is the reduction of stress and anxiety. Your health is #1 and staying consistent in moving and working out will only HELP you stay healthy during this time. Our hope is that this helps motivate you to move more so that your body can tackle anything that comes your way.

Steps we are taking:
☑️ We will have wipes for clients to use on our equipment before and after use.
☑️ We will give everyone an option to use their own weights, rather than our equipment. We recommend you purchase your own red resistance band as well.If you want to purchase one through us, they are $15/each. You can also get one on Amazon here.
☑️ We also recommend you get a few different pair of weights since some exercises may need 8 lb weights and others may need 15 lb (you may need 5lb and 10 lbs).
☑️ We will ask you NOT to borrow dumbbells from other clients.
☑️ We will also have a number of virtual options for clients who don't feel well or would rather workout at home.

Steps YOU can take:

✅Keep your immune system strong by getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, eat well, exercise and minimize stress.
✅ If you are not feeling well, stay home. We will be giving all clients virtual option.
✅ Wash your hands with soap and water before working out and after. . Use the park facilities.
✅Try your best to NOT touch your mouth, eyes and nose.
✅ Use hand sanitizer
✅ Wipe down any equipment you use both before and after with wipes.
✅ Be respectful of others and their space.

Again, please continue to stay updated through the CDC and local health authorities. Here is a link to the CDC website

We will continue to keep everyone updated as we receive more information.

As always, thank you for your consideration and support!
