Robin McCune has been a pediatric oncology nurse for 21 years at Medical City Children’s Hospital and lives in Coppell, TX.

Q: Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program?  I decided to join the Get You in Shape program because I was ready to start taking better care of myself, lose some weight and eat healthier.  My daughter (Jacqueline Tapella) had joined several months before me (when she was pregnant) and talked about how great it was.  I thought it would be fun for us to work out together!

Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?  Before joining the GYIS program, I didn’t have a lot of energy, skipped breakfast on most days, ate whatever was handy and wasn’t sleeping well.  I had gained weight and just wasn’t feeling good about myself.

Q: What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape program?  My first impression of the GYIS shape program was a little overwhelming.  At the first meeting there was a lot Robin McCune Before & Afterto go over regarding workouts, nutrition, the recommended nutritional products, My Fitness Pal, etc.  Brad & Cynthia Linder and the coaches and members that were there were all very welcoming.  Once I got myself organized and learned the importance of prepping food for the week, things got easier and I quickly started seeing results!  The coaches are amazing and make working out fun!  I also love how they celebrate birthdays and milestones and I was impressed by how quickly the coaches learn everyone’s name.  It is a very positive environment.

Q: What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?  I was surprised at how many tools the GYIS team has to offer.  The ones that have benefited me the most are the recommended nutritional products, My Fitness Pal, meal preparation, the accountability tool and the GYIS Facebook page.

Q: How is the Get You In Shape program different from other programs you have tried before?  I have had memberships at gyms and personal trainers – this program beats it all!  The support and encouragement from the coaches and the other members is amazing.  The workouts are different every day and challenging so I don’t get bored.  The coaches are constantly walking around during the workouts showing you how to use proper form and get the best from your workout.  The GYIS team wants you to be successful and they are there to help you achieve your goals.  All the tools they provide, weekly recipes, monthly calendars of workouts, accountability goals, encouragement and friendliness are the reasons I keep coming back.  I just signed up for 12 more months!  Oh, and I love working out at 5:30 a.m. outside!

Q: What results and benefits have you experienced in the Get You In Shape Program?  I lost 7 pounds and 16.75 inches in the first month of the Get You in Shape program and by the 3rd month I had lost a total of 12 pounds and 25 inches! I was down 2 sizes and feeling great. After 8 months, I am maintaining my weight & tone and getting stronger. I am eating healthier, sleeping better and have more energy!  The GYIS program has become a lifestyle for me!

Q: What would you say to anyone looking at this program?  To anyone looking to get fit, eat healthier and have more energy, GYIS is the program!  You will not be disappointed.  They have the tools, coaches, and desire to help you meet your goals.
