Coppell Trainer Rookie of the Month – April 2017 – Jen Smith

Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?
I did not have any motivation to exercise. There was no consistency when I did exercise. I felt tired and unhappy with the way I looked.

Q: Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program?
I talked with a current patient about what he was doing to lose weight and he was so excited about GYIS and the benefits. He was happy and losing weight. I knew I needed to see it for myself.

Q: What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape program?
I was so excited to be involved in something where everyone was so friendly and there was no pressure from the trainers to push harder. They let me start at my own pace and helped to motivate me to do better.

Q: What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?
I had used MyFitnessPal before but not with any consistency. Now I use it every day without fail. The MNS vitamins, OmegaPlex, Spark and green snack shakes have been a large portion of my recent success, in addition to the boot camp sessions. Without the boot camp sessions, I do not believe I would have lost as much weight or inches!

Q: How is the Get You In Shape program different from other programs you have tried before?
GYIS is a lifestyle change, not just a diet. Also, there is a sense of community and family that you don’t get from a gym or diet program, where people mostly rely on themselves. If I miss a day at the gym, I might feel bad for not exercising but if I miss a boot camp session, I actually feel like I am missing out on something important.

Q: What results and benefits have you experienced in the Get You In Shape Program?
Since starting GYIS last August, I have lost 12 pounds and almost 13 inches. That might not seem like a lot but I have gone down almost two sizes and I can see a difference. That just gives me more motivation to keep going!

Q: What would you say to anyone looking at this program?
If you are like me (and many others) that are always saying “I’m too busy…” or “I don’t have motivation”, then this program is perfect. The feeling I get working with others like me not only gives me the motivation I need but I find I am no longer making excuses to go to boot camps.
