Coppell Trainer Rookie of the Month – February 2018 – Erika Burke

Erika Burke lives in Lewisville, TX and is a project manager for a major financial institution.

Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?
I had a fairly sedentary lifestyle due to long work hours and boredom with going to a gym and doing cardio and weight training.

Q: Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program?
Get You In Shape was onsite at my employer once a week and I decided to give it a try. I attended all of their weekly classes for about 3-4 months before I decided to try the July 21 day challenge.

Q: What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape program?
I went into it with some familiarity of the structure of the programs and I found that everyone was extremely nice and supportive.

Q: What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?
I like the check in emails, weekly tips/ links that are sent out. I also enjoy the Facebook groups and posts that are out there. I don’t always have time to go onto a website to search for tools so it’s very convenient.

Q: How is the Get You In Shape program different from other programs you have tried before?
This is my first time trying a program of this type. I used to take Pilates and yoga classes when offered depending what was offered at the gym I was a member of at the time.

Q: What results and benefits have you experienced in the Get You In Shape Program?
After 6 months in the program I have lost 17.6 pounds and 15.25 inches (as of 11/17 ).

UPDATE: Since this video was done, Erika has now lost a total of 22.2lbs and 15.5 inches.

Q: What would you say to anyone looking at this program?
I would say don’t let the term “boot camp” intimidate them. I think that this program does not fit that mold and they don’t have to be a super athlete or be able to toss a tire around to be able to join these classes and see real benefits.
