​We are Brad and Cynthia Linder of Coppell. I’m a guy in my 40’s (dated myself didn’t I) that has been a trainer since 1999 when I received my Masters in Health and Kinesiology.  I’ve received multiple certifications and my degree in Kinesiology… so yeah, I’m a lifer here. All through my years I’ve helped HUNDREDS of people, like you, achieve goals they never thought possible.​My Wife, Cynthia, is a mother of 5 and knows first hand what it takes to start over and get back in shape. She started in 2004 and went from a size 10/12 to a size 2/4 in 8 months and since has had 5 kids. Most recently, Cynthia lost 40 lbs after having her 5th baby. ​​We are passionate about what we do and love helping people be, do and become more. 

We have taking a liking to coaching those that are in their  40’s, 50’s and 60’s to getting in the best shape of their life because WE GET IT.  Recovery is longer, injuries happen easier, life is a lot more chaotic all the while you still think/feel that you are in your 20’s and 30s; so its a bit of a weird time in your life that your mind hasn’t caught up to your body. You have to be smarter now. BUT, with smarter training and nutrition I get to see clients obtain levels of fitness far beyond what they were in their 20’s. Where are the Get You In Shape Fitness Sessions Held?

Get You In Shape is located at Andy Brown Park East in Coppell, TX. You get a beautiful view of the lake with the added benefit of the beautiful scenery of the park. Andy Brown Park East is right next to the City of Coppell’s The CORE Fitness Center (formerly the Coppell Aquatics and Recreation Center)

I’m not in good shape. Can I participate in the program?

We use progressive programming at The Get You in Shape Group Personal Training Camp. That means each person goes at their own personal fitness level. If you’re not in very good shape, we’ll start you slow (there will be others in the same boat, so you won’t be left behind), but work you up to speed more quickly than you can probably imagine right now. The amazing thing about the human body is how it adapts quickly to proper stimulus. We will SAFELY challenge you, but never more than you can handle. With years of experience working with all ages and fitness levels, we have this progressive programming down to a science.

Just know that you are welcome at Get You in Shape regardless of your level of fitness, and you will not feel out of place, even if you think of yourself now as being totally out of shape. You are not alone. Help is here, both from us (your instructors) and the friendly, caring support you will receive from others. We work as a team, inspiring and being inspired, and everybody wins!

Can men participate and what are the ages?

The Get You In Shape Fitness program is for men and women of all ages, shapes and fitness levels. The workouts were programmed so that physical abilities ranging from beginners to athletes can benefit from the Coppell Group Personal Training program. We are not like most of the other boot camps that are all women and leave out the men. Some of our best results come from a husband and wife joining together to push each other.

What type of exercises and activities are in the program?

First let me say that everything we do at the Coppell Get You In Shape program is FUN. You will never be doing long, boring cardiovascular exercise or painful, hard, heavy lifting. Those days are gone.

Resistance training or strength training along with some cardio will be the majority of the workouts. Studies show that resistance training is very effective in the process of getting rid of body fat and getting in shape. The core muscles will be a primary target as strengthening your core muscles helps to support your spine and keeps your body stable and balanced. Yoga, Pilates, Resistance Training, Core work, and other forms of exercise are just some of the areas of focus to get a great full-body, calorie burning, shock your body workout session each and every time.

The bottom line is that you can do it all, and with our progressive programming you can start at a pace that’s comfortable for you, and increase your intensity under our supervision and instruction, safely and measurably, quicker than you can imagine. That’s how you get results!

What about cold weather or rain?

The Get You In Shape Fitness program has both the amenities of working out outside but also the availability of the The Core (formerly Coppell Aquatics and Recreation Center) when the weather is too cold. We have been going at this since 2007 and found that “feels like” under 30 degrees is the cut off point. All morning sessions are inside if that is the case. The noon is normally on a case to case basis depending on the wind and sun. All evening sessions are outside regardless of the weather. That is one of the many things that set this fitness program apart from others. Most Fitness Boot Camps that are held in parks do not have access to facilities if it rains or is too cold. If it does rain, we are either under the pavilion or inside The Core (formerly Coppell Aquatics and Recreation Center).  Evening sessions are under the pavilion.
