Coppell Personal Trainer Client Spotlight Daniela Centeno

Daniela Centeno is a Speech and Language Therapist. She lives in Coppell and started Get You In Shape in 2008 (16 years ago)

How did you hear about Get You In Shape and what made you join?

My neighbor Anne Ruedi  told me about the program.

What was your original “So That” when you joined the Get You In Shape Program?

I wanted to be healthier for my kids as my husband was a workaholic and I could not count on him.

What benefits or results have you experienced since joining?

I’m stronger, I have more energy and mobility.

Do you have a new “So That” to keep you motivated?

My motivation is to be agile to do things I enjoy like traveling and going to places, to be able to work with children and sitting on the floor with kids, to dance, one of my passions.

Share a favorite memory of your time with Get You In Shape.

It was with the 5:30 am group, 150 walking lunge around the park holding a weighted bar.

 

What is your favorite exercise?

I like the balls because is challenging but also moves the body; it is a good combination in my opinion.

What is your least favorite exercise?

Burpees is not my favorite and I don’t like the yoga press.

Do your prefer summer or winter?

Winter- the low temperature does not scare me, the wind does. I do not like windy days.

What is your favorite class time?

I like early morning, 6:30 or 8.

Who was the toughest “meanest” trainer (past or present)

Why do you choose to continue to be a part of Get You In Shape after all this time?

I like exercising in the park, I like to be in contact with nature, the community, the friends I met during all the years, the positive attitude, the reasons why we workout; it is a great group of people.
