COPPELL, TX. – August 23, 2010. – After three sweaty August Saturdays of backpack collections in exchange for Boot Camp workouts, the Boot Camp 4 Backpacks fundraiser gathered over 150 backpacks and boxes of school supplies valuing over $2,500 donated to Coppell ISD schools. Get You In Shape, Coppell-based Fitness Boot Camp business, teamed up with other local businesses to sponsor this successful community-wide charitable event to collect and distribute necessary supplies for underprivileged students.
Participants either donated a backpack or one filled with supplies. Their donations not only gave assistance to local students, equipping them to succeed in the new school year, but also provided donors with a fun way to get fit while giving back.
“We are extremely pleased with the results of Boot Camp 4 Backpacks,” said Brad Linder, owner of Get You In Shape. “Our goals were to provide for local students in need, as well as engage our community in a fun way to get fit. Both goals were accomplished and many people were helped in the process.”
