Achieving The Most In Your Spring Break Routine

How About A Reset?

Can we all say it? Thank goodness the weather is no longer frightful. Spring Break couldn’t have come at a better time to help us reset from the year so far. There might even be some speculation 2021 is looking a lot like 2020. With a year filled with excitement, uncertainty, and even terror, maintaining a great workout and healthy lifestyle routine is taking a backseat to life as we know it.

Take this week-long “holiday” to do some resetting of your current habits. You might be saying – “This isn’t a holiday for me! It’s the same old weekly grind.”

Even better! Make Spring Break a state of mind if it can’t be an actual getaway. Enjoy the warmer weather and take your workouts outside. Take the week to create a new meal plan, or even plan one for the future. Make an effort to get up earlier to plan out the day and get a jumpstart on healthier habits. Or maybe for you, Spring Break is going to be in full swing starting Monday morning! Let Monday be the start of something fresh and new!

Spring Break Meal Plans

With the introduction of Spring comes a certain connotation with this season’s foods. Take this week to try great meal ideas for you and your family. Take advantage of your local supermarket’s Spring offerings or even venture into a farmer’s market to see what you find. Treat the visit as a rediscovering experience of healthy dishes.

Don’t let it just be a one-off experience either. Add more dishes to your repertoire to create an attainable weekly meal plan that boosts your exercise routine. It’s worth mentioning that positive and healthy habits that promote physical well-being also promote mental and spiritual well-being.

Here are a couple of great Spring foods to help spark your creative meal-planning motor: Arugula, artichokes, asparagus, beats, carrots, mint, peas, radishes, and strawberries not only boast a great source of essential nutrients and vitamins but look great together in a main, side, or salad dish.

This Week’s Workouts

Are you getting tired of looking at the same tv screen as you jump into your daily workout? Do workouts seem less motivating if you’re simply moving from your bedroom to the living room? Allow the appeal of warmer spring weather to get you out of your home for some great outdoor workouts. Take this time to start a couch-to-5k and enjoy scenic trail runs as your train. Wake up with the sun at your local park as you hold a warrior pose. Or just start a brisk walk around your neighborhood whether in the vibrant morning or crisp and cool evening.
