We are very excited about the results from our first  Advocare Total Transformation  Contest.
We have been running our proven Advocare 24 Day Challenge ( our next informational meeting it October 8th) for a long time now and knew having a longer contest would help make more lasting changes to their lifestyle.

Advocare 24 Day ChallengeWhat was the Total Transformation  Contest?  This was a 10 week Contest that was open to any and all folks on Brad and Cynthia’s Advocare team. In a nutshell it was everything we give with our normal 24 Day Challenge but each person kept taking Advocare’s Metabolic Nutrition System and Advocare’s Spark as a minimum to help with results.It It was all structured around taking the Advocare nutritional products. Each person received a Nutrition Guide Book,  a healthy recipe book, an email follow up system, a private tools page, all-access coaching and accountability,  Advocare Nutritional Supplements and A Chance To Win One of Five Awesome Prizes.

How did we pick the winners? The results were calculated and based on who made the most substantial changes based off that criteria and the top five are selected.

My name is Lotta Meyer. I’m a wife, mother of three, a RN and a figure skating coach. I moved to Coppell from Sweden three years ago.

Growing up I was athletic and active but the last year before moving to the U.S. I had started gaining weight due to some health issues. After the move I gained even more weight very fast. I had no energy and was in constant pain. Even a trip to the grocery store would completely wear me out and make me unable to do anything else for days. We quickly adapted to the American way of eating fast take out food all the time. Something we had never done before. In January of 2012 I saw a photo of myself from a couple of months before and Lotta Before After Side 500decided I needed to make a change.

I decided to join the Total Transformation  Contest because I needed the extra accountability of a commitment to push through a plateau I had hit in my weight loss.

I had already started my weight loss journey a little more than one year ago. I first started on my own basically using the eating habits I learned at the Get you in Shape boot camp in 2010 when I did my first 24 day challenge. I also used some of the Advocare products like the shakes and Catalyst. I exercised daily on my own at the gym. Going to the gym and doing the same exercises everyday got boring and I missed the Get You In Shape boot camp environment. I rejoined the Get You In Shape program and found that the variation in the different kinds of exercises was much more effective than my gym exercises but I was still not loosing any more weight until I started on the Advocare 24/72 day challenge.

My first impression of the Total Transformation  Contest was that it was not really a challenge. Everything is in the directions and all you have to do is follow the directions and you see immediate results. It’s fool proof!

I used the Advocare 24 day challenge website and downloaded the recipe book. I cooked a new recipe every day for dinner and felt like we were spoiling ourselves with great dinners every day. Each recipe I cooked I entered in the “My fitness Pal” program so I could track calories and nutrients. I used the fitness Pal app on my phone and tracked everything I eat and my activities with it. It really helped to keep me accountable. I let one of the Get You In Shape boot camp trainers follow my tracking online to make me feel even more accountable. I feel like this “diet” has felt more like a lifestyle change instead of a diet. Now when it’s getting close to the end of the 72 day’s I don’t really see myself changing anything back to my old habits (except maybe a glass of red wine once in a while).

After the first 18 day’s of the challenge I had lost 9.2 lbs. and 7.5 inches. Since then I have lost about another 10 lbs for a total of 19 lbs during the 72 day challenge and about 50 lbs since I started my weight loss journey. All while maintaining and even gaining muscle mass. I even just completed my first but defiantly not last triathlon. I feel great in every way!

I would recommend this program to anyone who is looking to get in shape, loose weight and feel more energized.

Name, what you do, and where you are from?
My name is Kimberly Johnson.  I am from Brunswick, Georgia. I am a follower of Christ, mom, wife and own a tanning salon and boutique.

Why did you decide to join the Total Transformation  Contest?
I have 3 kiddos, 5 years old, 2 years old and 5 months old. I knew that I did not want to be at the place I was forever, I needed to change. I needed to feel better not only about myself but also health wise. I have to have a lot of energy to keep up with 3 kiddos, and I just was exhausted everyday. I know I need a goal to make myself work hard and this contest was just the answer.

What was your life like before joining the Total Transformation  Contest?Kim Before After Side 450
Before the contest, my nutrition was not that great. I would skip meals or pick  off the kids plate.  My drink of choice was sweet tea or coffee…very little water. I was tired and moody:).  I exercised but the results were not what I wanted in the time I expected. Mostly due to my eating habits.

What was your first impression from the Total Transformation  Contest?
I was so excited but intimidated a little because it was so long.  But looking back it had to be that long so I would make the life changes for life, not just a couple of weeks.

What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?
Nicole at best body bootcamp :). She has been an encouragement through the whole thing. Life happens regardless of your diet and exercise schedule, my life definitely was chaotic but she stuck by me. The meal guide was great. I love Spark  and the Catalyst.

How was the Total Transformation  Contest different from other programs?
I believe it is unique because of the length. It really allows for real life change. I like the charts and check off boxes on the daily sheets. It made it so easy to keep up with what I had done for the day already.

What results and benefits have you experienced in the Total Transformation  Contest?
I lost about 10 pounds in the first 24 days and a total of 23 pounds in the 72 days. I lost over 21 inches. I fit into clothes that I haven’t worn in years. I feel great too!!!!!

What would you say to anyone looking at this program?
Do it!  Commit to the program and go for it! Life will happen whether you do this program or not. Do you want to look back 3 months from now and say “what if I would have…” or do you want to look back and say “wow, look how far I’ve come!”

My name is Darla Jo Manning.  I moved to Coppell in 1994.  I work from home, sitting at a computer all day.Coppell Fitness Rookie of the Month

Why did you decide to join Get You In Shape’s  Advocare Total Transformation  Contest?
I had been having good success with the Get You In Shape boot camp and thought joining the contest would be a good way to keep me focused and motivated through the summer.

What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape’s  Advocare Total Transformation  Contest?
At the meeting, several people talked about dreading the fiber drink, so I was prepared to hate it.  It’s not bad.  I actually liked coming home from my morning workout and chugging it down right away.  It made me feel full for awhile so I could get cleaned up and ready for work.

What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?
I am very happy with the Advocare Omegaplex.  I had tried a fish oil before and could not tolerate it.  This omega 3 supplement is great and doesn’t have a fishy aftertaste at all.  I also have enjoyed the meal replacement shakes.  They are quick and easy and satisfying.  I plan to continue using those and the Metabolic Nutrition System Max C.

How was the Advocare Total Transformation  Contest different from other programs?
I liked that the challenge had several phases.  It was a good way to learn an eating and supplement routine that could work for me.

What results and benefits have you experienced in the Total Transformation  Contest?
I lost almost 10 pounds on the 24 day challenge.  I lost 16 pounds in 10 weeks.

What would you say to anyone looking at this program?
Give it a try and don’t let the words “cleanse” or “fiber drink” scare you away.

Name, what you do, and where you are from?
Kara Dunn.  I do not work outside the home.    I have lived in Coppell since 2001.

Why did you decide to join the Total Transformation  Contest?
I joined the Total Transformation  Contest because primarily, I was frustrated with how I looked.  I had gained about 10 pounds in the past year although I had kept a great exercise regime.  I knew I needed to try something different in my diet to change course and get the scale moving in the opposite direction.

What was your life like before joining the 72 Day Contest?
Before the Total Transformation  Contest, I found breakfast and lunch as a challenge.  For breakfast, I was finding myself eating leftovers or just too much.  For lunch, same thing.  It was not the type of food necessarily, just the quantity.   Possibly of the wrong stuff.  For dinner, I was eating a protein and salad or vegetable so I knew the problem was with the start of the day.  I knew I ate too many white carbs.
I had given up Diet Coke about 1.5 years earlier but had recently replaced the Diet Coke with an energy Crystal Light that contained caffeine.  So basically I got rid of one bad sugar and replaced with another one.
I was consistently doing Get You In Shape Boot Camp  MWF and Tennis or bike riding 1-2 times/week as my off day cardio.  I was fit but overweight.

What was your first impression from the Total Transformation  Contest?
Initially, I was not sure of the “cleanse” thing.  But after the presentation, I was on board 100%.  I knew I could do the food part because I knew what was healthy but had made bad decisions in the past.

What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?
Spark – I now have 1-2 Sparks per day.  It is usually the first thing I drink in the morning and the caffeine and sweetness satisfies me.

Meal Replacement Shakes (MRS)- I have used MRS consistently in the past and knew that if I had these for breakfast, it usually got me started in the right direction.  These are my “go to” breakfast about 90% of the time.  I am not a big ‘breakfast food’ eater (remember the leftover statement above?) so this was a major implementation for getting me on the right track.
I use the Vitamins called  Metabolic Nutrition System Max C
Lunch – Portion size and protein and veggies/salad.  No white carbs or processed food.
Catalyst – I use these but really only before I workout at 8am.  Not consistent use.

What results and benefits have you experienced in the Total Transformation  Contest?
Better daily diet decision fueled by Spark, Meal Replacement Shakes and eating guidelines outlined in 24 Day Challenge book.
Weight loss- I have lost about 15 pounds.  I lost about 6-8 lbs. on the 24 Day Challenge and the rest throughout the remaining days.  This even included losing weight during my 1 week vacation where every meal was bought.

What would you say to anyone looking at this program?
I think it is a good ‘reset’ for anyone who feels like they need to try something different.  The diet modification and suggestions were a big help.

Why did you decide to join the Total Transformation  Contest?
I attended an information session and was very impressed with the program and the products; I thought being part of a contest and the additional support offered by the trainers may help me achieve more rapid results.

What was your life like before joining the Total Transformation  Contest?
I watched a lot of tv and was very sedentary.

What was your first impression from the 72 Day Contest?  I was surprised at how great I felt using the Advocare products and following the plan.

How was the Total Transformation  Contest different from other programs?
The program provided not only guidance on what to eat but also Advocare products to ensure my body was getting maximum nutrition.  Also, I got regular calls from a trainer to talk through issues one-on-one, and the exercise program was awesome.

What results and benefits have you experienced in the Total Transformation  Contest? I lost 13 pounds and 1-2” off all my measurements; I feel great and have so much more energy to get me through the day; I actually look forward to working out and am excited to continue my weight loss journey – the 72-day challenge was just a kickstart for me.

What would you say to anyone looking at this program?  If you have been putting off doing something to achieve better health, stop procrastinating and give this program a try; I procrastinated way too long and wish I had done this sooner for myself.
