2011 Goals – What do you want to achieve in January? in 2011?

In an attempt to contintue help motivate and keep you accountable, we are sharing our goals for the month and for the year.
So just click on the blog title and scroll down.
What to write for a Goal for January & 2011? The idea is to have a short goal and a motivation behind that goal. A few examples:
1. Improve you mile time. In order to achieve that you will need to do what?
2. Lose 6 Pounds in January. Motivation would be so that you will be well on your way to reaching your 15 Pound goal in 3 months so you can look great at the beach during Spring Break.
Every month we will come back and go over our previous goal, how you did, and what your next month’s goal is.
Your email and name will not show in the post. So you can put your name after your goal and whatever else you want to put.

  1. 1. Journal daily (food, exercise, etc.), so I can see why I get the results that I am getting–good and not so good.
    2. Do cardio on the off days, so that I can keep up with you guys.
    3. To get and keep my priorities straight: God, family, friends, and love (self and others), so that whatever happens, I can have peace with it.

  2. Short Term Goal:
    1. Make it to bootcamp the last two weeks of Jan. without missing a session (3 days/wk); no excuses.
    2. Take my lunch to work at least 4 days per week starting on 1/18/11.
    3. Eat breakfast – even if it’s something small – just eat breakfast.
    4. Continue yoga on Thursday evenings at least 1day/wk.

    Long Term Goal:
    1. Finish what I start; FINISH WHAT I START – no matter how (un)successful – JUST FINISH.
    2. Put on a pair of shorts for the first time in 9 years and feel good about it. Learn to motivate myself.
    3. Pray more & ask God for help.

  3. 1. Honest workout 5 days/week.
    2. High protein diet. Portion control.
    3. 15-20 mile run/week.
    4. Avoid alcohol, limit caffeine & soda.

  4. To workout at least 5-6 days a week, keep up with my calories better, and make it to at least 11 classes this month. I have been missing so many workouts due to work, parties, holiday junk. It is time to kick into gear again and get it to not missing any workout sessions.

  5. 1) Keep doing am mediation/ Prayers for God’s Leadership and to get me to goal and seeing food as only fuel to being a healthier me.
    2) Lose 3- 5lbs
    3) Keep daily food journal
    4) Exercise MWF BC/ do 2 days of cardio in week (5 days)
    5) Follow wt loss plan of healthy options/ avoid sugar
    6) Visualize self getting there!!!!

  6. Pretty much the same as Julie’s above but I will be Mountain Biking one to two days/week instead of running.

  7. January
    Do the 10 day cleanse when I get back from Maui
    Eat 5 to 6 servings of veggies/day
    Workout 6 days/week
    Run one day/week for cardio

  8. Complete 13 classes, even if out of town, make up by completing 2 when in town.

    Eat for life – good food – not fattening food.

    Lose 2 – 3 lbs in January

  9. Regularly do the off day cardio. Aim for all 3 days but COMMIT to at least 2 days, for a total of 5 days of exercise.

    2. enjoy the benefits of being healthy and in good shape.
    3. focus on upping my work intensity.

    2)continue running on off days from boot camp!
    3)control the amount of calories i eat each day by journaling.
    4)enjoy the new year and the fact that i’ve been working out steady for over a year!!!!!

    2. Follow runner’s training plan for March 10k.
    3. Attend 13 boot camp sessions.
    4. Enjoy the benefits of this healthly lifestyle!

  13. 1) Complete 13 sessions of bootcamp this week
    2) Start training for Rock-n-roll Half Marathon (Run 3 days in addition to bootcamp)

  14. Workout 5 days per week, including boot camp, while starting a new job.
    Stay on the 24 day challenge throughout the month of January.
    Stop beating myself up expecting perfection! 🙂

  15. January
    1) Lose six to eight pounds
    a) Food journal
    b) online accountability contest
    c) 5-6 workouts per week with extra NEAT activity thrown in daily
    2) Increase my verticle pulling
    a) 1-2/week Strength/endurance with pull-ups
    3) Increase pushup endurance
    a) more pushups concentrating on form

  16. 1) Increase consumption of Advocare shakes ~ whenever I use them regularly I see better results.
    2) Food journaling.
    3) Complete 12 boot camp sessions (work travel during two sessions).
    4) Complete at least 2 of 3 off-day cardios at a 30 minute minimum each session. Goal of 10 sessions.
    5) Weigh every day for accountability.

  17. Focus on upping intensity of my workouts & food intake. Want to push myself off my plateau – like to push myself to lose 5 pounds this month 🙂
