The Get You In Shape team hand selects clients each month that we feel have transformed their health and fitness. This Get You In Shape Spotlight Rookie for February joined Get You In Shape in November 2014. Carrie Boyle recently moved to Coppell, TX from Phoenix, AZ. She is a wife and the mother of three boys, ages 3, 5, and 8. She is also the Director of Curriculum at the Primrose School of Coppell.
Q: Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program? I joined the Get You In Shape Program because I was tired of being overweight, feeling miserable, and just plain tired of being tired! I had researched several different weight loss programs around the Coppell area, but chose GYIS because of the “whole” program! I liked that it was a fitness program as well as a nutrition program that offered as much support as one might need! The Get You In Shape program offerings also grabbed my attention because I felt like going to the fitness sessions at 5:30 am was doable. I wasn’t messing with my work schedule, I wasn’t having to change my husband’s schedule, and most importantly, I wasn’t taking time away from my kids! All which have been problems in the past!
Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program? Prior to the Get You In Shape Coppell fitness program, my life was jam packed with bad choices! My family ate out at fast food restaurants most nights of the week (and no, I didn’t choose salads)! I over indulged in all the wrong foods and at all the wrong times. I would come home from work and vegetate on the couch for the rest of the evening! I felt like I was treading (slowly drowning) in a very turbulent ocean called my life.
Q: What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape program? My first impression of the Get You In Shape Coppell fitness program was that I was joining another family! I was immediately welcomed into the group by the owners, the trainers, the other members that were signing up with me, as well as the new friends I made at my first and second fitness boot camp session. EVERYONE was and is pleasant, welcoming, motivating, encouraging, supportive, understanding and inspiring!
Q: What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you? Some of the tools that I have benefited from using include: the Advocare 24 Day Challenge and their product line, the Get You In Shape personal trainers, the owners, my fellow boot campers, MyFitnessPal and my FitBit HR.
Q: How is the Get You In Shape program different from other programs you have tried before? Get You In Shape Coppell fitness program is so very different from all the other programs that I have tried in so many ways! The owners, the trainers, my fellow boot campers….CARE about me! What layman can call the owners of a company and get a pat on the back or a “everything is going to work out…just follow these steps”, or “try this for a week” response AND be personally known by the owners? Can you call the owner of Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig and tell them about how excited you are because you were able to accomplish something that you hadn’t been able to do before while getting a positive response/feedback and support because they TRULY know who you are? NO! At Get You In Shape…you CAN! I know because I have done it! I shared my journal entry and within a matter of hours, I had personalized feedback from both Brad and Cynthia! Even more touching, their sentiments were GENUINE! The level of support that Get You In Shape offers to its clients is a 100 on a scale of 1 to 10!
Q: What results and benefits have you experienced in the Get You In Shape Program? Since joining the Get You In Shape Coppell fitness program, I have lost weight, lost inches in all areas, increased my energy and increased my stamina. I started the program on November 8th, 2014 (my oldest son’s 8th birthday). As of today, January 13th, 2015, I have lost 16.2 pounds in a matter of two months and a few days! I have also lost 3.5 inches in my chest, 2 inches in my waist, and 2.5 inches in my hips. I can now move about my day more freely without getting tired. I can also now withstand 60 minutes on an elliptical trainer which previously kicked my butt after 5 minutes!
I have also experienced a more positive self image, a better attitude, and a more positive daily outlook. I have also changed not only my poor eating habits but also those of my husband and children. I have made a mind shift that life is not all about the food…it is about living! I owe all of these positive outcomes/results to Get You In Shape!
Q: What would you say to anyone looking at this program? For anyone looking at the Get You In Shape program…I would say, “What are you waiting for? This IS the program that WILL change your life! This program can and will offer you more of what you need than any other program out there! I know, I have tried them all and now at 37, I have finally found the program that is helping me attain my goals and aspirations and it can help you too! Don’t let this opportunity pass you by!”
