From here on out, we will have meet ups every Sunday. At our last meet up we had some run 6-7 miles and a few run 12 miles. It was another great rain run along the beautiful Campion Trails! Our next “meetup” will be this coming Sunday. We are set to run 7 miles or a straight 90 minutes. Feel free to add or decrease mileage as you wish based on your training that you need & your fitness levels.

Nov. 3rd – 5k Foam Fest  Dallas, Texas

I am so excited to find this event and share it with you all. It looks like TONS of fun & really for anyone!  5K Foam Fest is an amazing mix of foam, mud and obstacles thus making fitness fun. 5k Foam Fest is a fun and exciting challenge for the experienced and beginner runners alike. The 5k Foam Fest makes exercising an absolute party for you and your friends. Definitely check out the videos in the link below.

Proceeds from this race go to multiple charities both locally & nationwide. Much of the donations go to Shared Hope International which is a non-profit organization that works against human trafficking & aims to rescue and restore women and children in crisis.

It is $40 to register to run & there are several times that you can sign up. I plan on going to the early one. I’d sign up early if you are interested, because I foresee this one selling out.

December 9th – White Rock Half/Full or 5 person relay   

Dallas, Texas
All of our long run meet ups and speed preparation in class will lead up to this event. It is a great run that goes around White Rock Lake. I am so excited for it! It is going to be a great weekend. You can choose to do the full marathon, half marathon, or have a 5 person relay (each person runs 5-6 miles each).They kick off the weekend with the expo where you can pick up your packets. There is going to be 25,000 runners with a crowd of 70,000+ over the 2 day event!

The expo is a two-day event filled with 100+ vendors with merchandise, information and exhibits related to the running, fitness and health industry. Admission to the Expo is free.

The marathon is $115, half is $100, 5 person relay $250.  Proceeds go to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. This hospital is world leader in the treatment of kids with polio, pediatric orthopaedic conditions, neurological disorders and learning disorders.
