Livia Liu Francis is an attorney and lives in Coppell, TX. She started with Get You In Shape in October 2015.
Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?
Prior to joining GYIS, I was frustrated by my weight gain and lack of energy. No matter what I did, the weight would not come off. Plus, I was a terrible eater. Coffee in the morning, maybe a snack for lunch and then a large dinner.
Q: What results and benefits did you initially experience with the Get You In Shape Program?
I am a task and goal oriented person. Give me a list and I will do it and that’s what I did in the beginning- I followed the darn instructions and it worked. It was tough that first month. I had to adjust my eating habits; not just what I ate but when I ate it. I went to all my classes and drank a lot of water and the results were very encouraging. I lost 7 pounds that first month.
Q: What results and benefits you accomplished since that first year?
After four months with GYIS I lost 20 pounds and 20 plus inches. I reached my “so that” goal of getting back into clothes I haven’t been able to get in. Reaching this goal gave me the confidence that I can do this and if I needed a re-boot, I can achieve it. I have been with GYIS almost two years now. Not only have I maintained my weight loss but I am stronger and healthier.
Q: What do you feel have been some of the keys that have helped you throughout the journey?
I believe my continued workouts with GYIS and maintaining a healthy diet has kept me on track. GYIS continues to encourage me to stay with it. I still enjoy boot camp, the challenges and all the little things (nutrition classes, charity functions….) that GYIS provides to continue encouraging their participants.
