Q: Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program?
The name says it all. I have been training for a desk job for 30 years and decided it was time to get back in shape and enjoy more of what life has to offer. A month before I joined the program I was given some artwork that says “All Good Wishes Come True” in ancient Chinese calligraphy. The program is just part of the equation for my fitness wish to come true.

Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?
Before the Get You In Shape program, I had taken my eye off of fitness and weight control. I was happy but heavy.

Q: What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape program?
I was surprised at how much flexibility and endurance I had lost when I first started. I wasn’t even able to touch my toes. The trainers were and still are really helpful in giving positive encouragement. I was able to notice a difference within a month.

Q: What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?
The best tools are the trainers. The trainers do a good job at encouraging you, making you exercise every part of your body, tracking you progress, and tricking you into enjoying it. Once I was modifying an exercise and Brad Linder gave me a word of encouragement – the key to the program is to keep exercising and to keep coming back. The trainers do a great job of helping you with this.

Q: How is the Get You In Shape program different from other programs you have tried before? Steve Graybill After Pic edited
When working out on my own, I would find good reasons to skip an exercise or just do one activity. Get you In Shape provides the structure addressing the upper body, lower body, core, cardio, endurance, flexibility, and weight management in a balanced approach. And if you miss a session there’s one later in the day to make it up.

Q: What results and benefits have you experienced in the Get You In Shape Program?
A year-and-a-half later, I have lost 30 pounds. I feel better and have a lot more flexibility and endurance. And I can even touch me toes.
Before GYIS a friend convinced me to double my life insurance by stating “You don’t want your wife to have to marry a guy with no teeth after you die do you?” As long as I am doing Get You In Shape my wife won’t need my insurance policy.

Q: What would you say to anyone looking at this program?
May you be blessed with good wishes!
