Beccy Ratliff and her husband own a Construction Management company and have lived in Coppell for 24 years.

Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?
Before joining GYIS, I was tired and had no stamina. My muscles were tight and I had no flexibility.

Q: Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program?
I had enjoyed participating in the program about 5 years ago and I knew of the outcomes others have had by following the darn instructions. I also liked that GYIS gave back to the community through Special Olympics so my decision was easy about a group to join.

Q: What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape program?
My first impression of the GYIS program is how welcoming of all ability levels and how the trainers are always willing to work with you on form and getting the most out of every exercise. The trainers want to see you improve as much as the client.

Q: What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?
One of the best tools that I have used that has benefited me is confidence in myself with the encouragement of the trainers. I also have benefited from the nutrition classes that remind you of eating so that you attain your goals.

Q: How is the Get You In Shape program different from other programs you have tried before?
What makes GYIS different and unique is the opportunity to work out in the fresh air of the community parks and the comradery of the other members. You never feel like you are working towards your goals alone, but with a team of individuals who want you to succeed!

Q: What results and benefits have you experienced in the Get You In Shape Program?
Of course my ultimate goal was to lose weight so that my clothes fit better, but I wanted to make me a priority. I wanted to feel better overall and I was tired of not being able to move like I could 10-15 years ago. Through GYIS I lost 7 pounds my first month, but more importantly, I have energy to get through the day and I have more flexibility. I still have more work to do and I am excited to continue with GYIS.

Q: What would you say to anyone looking at this program?
If you are looking for a group to help you move toward a healthy lifestyle and overall well-being then GYIS is the place for you. The motivation is more than the final goals, but the everyday progress you make.
