Q: What was your life like before joining the Get You In Shape Program?
No exercise, Poor nutrition and bad eating/sleeping habits. Not taking care of myself.

Q: Why did you decide to join the Get You In Shape program?
Wear a special dress for my daughter’s wedding. Feel more confident in my appearance. Organize my life and daily routine.
At first, I joined Get You In Shape to lose weight and fit into my mother of the bride dress. But as each month passed and I started to lose weight/inches, improve my nutrition and exercise properly, my reasons changed. The turning point began when I shaved 2 mins off the mile run and doing step ups for the 20-30 second period. I started to feel more confident in myself and proved to myself that I can do this! I AM CAPABLE!

Q: What was your first impression from the Get You In Shape program?
It is very supportive and encouraging in both the exercise and nutrition programs.

Q: What have been some of the tools you have used that have benefited you?
MyFitnessPal, MyFitnessPal Blog, and recommended Nutritional Supplement products

Q: How is the Get You In Shape program different from other programs you have tried before?
Get You in Shape is my first program. (besides weight watchers many, many years ago.) I love being outdoors and everyone is very supportive.

Q: What results and benefits have you experienced in the Get You In Shape Program?
I lost 7 pounds and 10 inches in the first month of the Get You in Shape program! I have lost a total of 19 pounds in 3.5 months. Losing the weight has helped my sleep apnea (found out results from my doctor). My dress size decreased 2 sizes!!! I was thrilled when I purchased my mother of the bride dress. I am at my lowest weight since the births of my 4 children. My “So that” became a huge motivator for me! I am benefiting from my improved daily healthy habits.

Q: What would you say to anyone looking at this program?
Take the process one day at a time and learn as you go. Get to know everyone and ask questions!!! Read the instructions!!! Do not become overwhelmed by all the provided information.

What I learned along my journey –
I can get my body in shape! I can improve my eating habits! I am glad that I joined GYIS! The support and accountability was very helpful and even though I needed to do this on my own (without family or friends), I needed this group to help me learn at my own pace and encourage me to keep going and that I am capable!
