Coppell Trainer 10 Lessons Learned in 10 Years Part 7

So I have added 10 Lessons I’ve  learned In 10 Years to hopefully will give you insight, nuggets and wisdom.Today is Lesson #7. If you are wanting to read the previous Lessons, just scroll down to the bottom of this blog for the links.

Lesson #7 – Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff This one I have come to learn to be true over the years. Looking back it’s funny how you think on small incident was such a big deal at the time that you had to STOP EVERYTHING to attend to it. Every small issue or thing that affects your business can become stressful. I have learned over the years NOT TO SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. Although I do have to deal with all the issues that come up, I have learned not to stress over it. Looking back on the 10 years, there have been many minor things (small stuff) that ate at me and caused me to stress. Because of the stress, the small issues have caused over the years, I have come to realize that THERE IS ANOTHER DAY and that the small situation is NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. As the business has evolved over the years, I realize that with all the projects, tasks and things that need to get done simple won’t get done today. That email can to put out a fire can wait. There have been many issues that have come up as a business owner that is funny looking back but it certainly was not funny at the time. In a week (a month or a year),  that issue will be over with and not a problem so it’s not something I should stress over today. Especially if it is an issue I don’t have any control over.

With 4 kids now and one due in a few months, I know there will ALWAYS be issues to deal with and work to do but understanding that God is in control, gets me through it. We can all get better at this lesson in all areas of our life. I am still learning this lesson but do believe that this is something I have improved on since starting.I hope you enjoyed lesson #7 .
