COPPELL, TX. – July 18, 2011. – For the first three Saturdays of August, donations of backpacks and school supplies for less fortunate Coppell ISD students will be collected through the 2nd Annual Boot Camp 4 Backpacks fundraiser held at Andy Brown Park East. Local Fitness company Get You In Shape is teaming up with other local businesses to sponsor a community-wide charitable event to collect necessary backpacks and school supplies for needy Coppell ISD students to start the school year off prepared. People can either donate a backpack or they can fill the backpack with supplies. These loaded backpack donations will not only help underprivileged students but also will help donors get fit and have fun with a few great gifts and perks for those who help make this event a success.
“Last year was a huge success as everyone teamed up in the community to help fill a trailer with school backpacks and much needed supplies. Our goal is two-fold,” explains Brad Linder, owner of Get You In Shape, the Fitness Boot Camp business heading up the event here in Coppell. “We want to provide for students in need right here in Coppell, as well as engage our local community in a fun way to get fit.”
Each person who signs up and donates to this great event will receive 3 free calorie burning Boot Camp Saturday Workouts in August, a Boot Camp t-shirt, as well as a powerful 12 week home study fitness program designed based on 8 years of helping Coppell residents get in great shape. Anyone and everyone are welcome to participate in this event.
The event will consist of backpack collections and Boot Camp workouts at Andy Brown East on August 6th at 8:00 am, and August 7th & 20st at 7:00 and 8:00 am. Participants are not required to workout, yet it provides a great way to make a difference in your life and someone else’s.
