Tips and Information for the week

1. Last week to help the students who are less fortunate. We thank all of you who have participated and helped make the boot camp 4 backpacks thus far. We have one more week with this Saturday being the last day. So if you have not  shared this event to your friends, neighbors, co-workers and anyone else, please do so. 2. Tip of the week – This is from last month but just making sure we all know how important this is. Click Here for the Tip of the week that Julie did.

3.  August Biggest Loser Contest – Standings at the half way mark. We actually decided not to let you know the exact percentage and just go with the standings. Hopefully that will motivate you that much more to keep going the last 2 weeks.

5. Off-Day Cardio for this week -
Tuesday (Wednesday McKinney Location) – 30 Minutes at one pace. Try staying in between slow and medium for 30-45 minutes. Stretch after you are finished
Thursday – (Friday McKinney Location) – 5 – minutes of Core work. 1 Minute Slow, 1 Min Medium, 1 min. Fast 30-45 minutes.

Boot Camp Informaiton and tips of the week

First off, we had a great turnout for the first day of boot camp 4 backpacks. We want to get the community involved, so please spread the word to your neighbors, co-workers, and friends. We know we can not do this alone and need your help to spread the word to be able to make this a successful event.  You can send people to http://bootcamp4backpacks.com

1. Tip of the WeekClick Here – We found a study that you may want to know about. It came out recently from Purdue and relates to weight loss, protein, and bone density. There are some tips we can use from it to make sure you are doing the right things.

2. Off-Day Cardio this week -
Tuesday (Wed. for McKinney Ave) – 30 slow, 30 medium, 30 fast  for 30-40 minutes
Thursday (Friday for McKinney Ave) – 5 minutes of core exercises (see workout pdf for examples)
                 30-45 minutes somewhere between slow and medium pace
Saturday – Bootcamp 4 Backpack workout at Coppell Location 7am or 8am
                     Or resistance training with cardio

3. Half-way measurements
– We have our halfway measurements for those that want to see how they are doing at the end of the week.

Tips and Information for the week

Boot Camp Tips and Information

1. If you are planning on participating in Boot Camps 4 Pack Pack, sign up at http://bootcamp4backpacks.com/
2. Tip of the week – Do you have a job where you sit all day long? This tip will help you get up and get moving when you have a chance. Click Here
3. Last week – Focus on doing more this week than you did last week. If you are really focused on results, it is OK to do more than 1 hour of working out. Doing something both in the morning and evening cardio related is ok also.
4. Cardio -
  Tuesday
(Thursday for McKinney)  5-10 minutes of core work, 1 min Slow – 1 min. medium, 1 min fast 10 sets
 Thursday (Friday for McKinney location- 5-10 core and warmp – Jump rope (in place if you don’t have one or done want to use a jump rope.  1 minute on 1 minute off. 30 minutes. If you want to change it up, you can do front to back,side to side, one leg each, double or whatever you want to do.
5. Motivate, Encourage, Inspire – That is what we have hopefully done with our workouts and continue to do for you. Let us know how we can continue to help do this for you.
