Coppell, TX – The Coppell 5k run and 1 mile walk on May 8th at Andy Brown Park West was a huge success. Get You In Shape sponsored and helped raise $5,000 for the Coppell Special Olympic Teams. There were 160 runners for both the 5k and 1 mile walk. There were more than 200 in attendance to help cheer and volunteer at the event. Get You In Shape represented well with 22 boot camp participants completing the Coppell 5k. For many, it was their first 5k
A huge thanks to all the runners, participants, volunteers and everyone who made the event such a huge success.

Chasing after a great cause… Last month we supported the our wounded
troops and had huge success with our pushups for charity event. This month
we are set to have our first 5k run benefiting the Coppell Special Olympic Teams
on May 8th. More Information on the 5k run and 1 mile walk is below.

1. Tip of the month - Adding this tool into your day has been proven to help
double your results. Can you name this tool?

2. Healthy eating options – What restaurants have what healthy options.

3. Success Story - This Coppell police office and mom explains how she
lost 4 dress sizes and the we ight she wanted to lose.

4. Pushups for charity results- What an encredible experence we had last
month as we had 36 participants and over 100 people sponsor and give to the wounded
troops.

5. Kids boot camp – We will be starting our 3rd year of our kids boot camp with a trial
week next week. Let your kids test drive our program for a week before committing this summer.
We only have a few more spots for next week.

Not sure why we had our 2 big charity events right after each other but we are. The
5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk benefiting Coppell Special Olympics Teams
sponsored by Get You In Shape is less than 2 weeks away! Show your Special
Olympics support—get outside, get fit and have FUN!  Andy Brown Park West on
May 8th is definitely the place to be.  This will be a family-friendly event, as kids
under 10 years of age are FREE!

Why this event?

Did you know that the Coppell Special Olympics has over 50 athletes in 6 different sports that are on going through out the year? Our special athletes could use your help and your donations! With limited funds available and our number of athletes growing we need all the help we can get!!!

Currently, we don’t have uniforms; we use borrowed and old equipment and are always in need of assistance.
